Notebook Monitors
Get the most from your notebook display
What was once an expensive piece of business person’s equipment is now readily available for the average consumer. Notebooks and laptops are found everywhere and can be used by just about anybody. From the soccer mom planning out this week’s activities to the screen writer hammering out the latest piece of work in the coffee shop, they all need to get the most out of their notebook monitors.
Notebook Computers
Typically the notebook computer is just a smaller-scaled personal computer in a thinner form. With today’s technology, the notebook has become just as fast and just as powerful as a full desktop PC. Computer graphics card manufacturers now account for a majority of their sales in the notebook computer market. What this has done for the industry is allow a wider range of individuals access to portability. People who rely heavily on fast, high-end graphics now have the ability to take their concepts with them and to allow a larger audience access without having to transfer files from the computer to a storage unit to another computer.
Understanding Notebook Monitors
Typical notebooks use a flat panel LCD as their monitor. They are very thin and light and have great color range. Since they are attached directly the keyboard, problems with the viewing angle are almost never an issue. Setting up the monitor’s properties is quite easy and there are many options available depending on the manufacturer. Typical notebooks have a VGA output which allows the laptop to access a larger monitor and in essence become similar to a desktop computer. It may be necessary to use a notebook computer monitor stand when using an auxiliary monitor. Newer monitors have become incredibly bright because of the advancement in LED backlighting. What this means is that the issue of using a laptop outside in the sun has been reduced and images are much more clear and precise. Laptops can be purchased with wide screen monitors and some are also available with touch screens. A touch screen monitor can be used to turn your notepad into a sketch pad, or for writing directly on the screen to highlight a point or detail.
