Touch Screen
Uses of touch screen monitors
Touch screen monitors are used in all sorts of industries from design to manufacturing. Touch screen computer monitors used in manufacturing make the control of machines easier, as more functions can be applied electronically than could mechanically. Manual adjustments as well as visual readouts are all on one screen. The screens can also have lockout features so that only authorized users can access certain functions. A touch screen uses a conductive clear surface; when it is touched by a finger or pointing device, the voltage changes. The computer determines the position on the screen by the changes in electrical signals.
LCD Touch Screen Monitors
Touch monitors have been increasingly popular in the design field. They allow a designer to sketch directly on the screen then switch to writing a document without ever putting down the laptop. Elo touch screen monitors can be found in many applications such as public kiosks, gaming machines and handheld devices. The screens used in public kiosks allow for users to input their information obtain service without needing a human attendant. One example of this is purchasing vehicle license plate stickers or a driver’s abstract at the local mall; another is purchasing tickets from an automated kiosk at a movie theater.
