Dell Monitors

Shopping for a Dell monitor

Dell Computers is one of the leading manufacturers of made-to-order computer systems, and it’s no wonder that they have such a variety of Dell monitors to choose from. When shopping for a monitor, it is important to understand that every manufacturer will be slightly different from the rest and options that are available for one monitor may not be available on another. Also the computer software tends to be monitor-specific, so a Dell monitor driver will not work with other brands.

Dell monitors range in price anywhere from under $300 to over $800. Obviously the larger the monitor, the more expensive it will be. Remember that a monitor that is HDTV compatible will need the proper digital cables to get the best picture quality available. Some monitors are equipped with VGA and DVI inputs, but make sure that the cables are included. Often only the VGA cable will be included; the DVI or any other digital-ready cable will need to be purchased separately. Know what the monitor will be used for as you don’t want to spend extra money when not all of the features will be utilized.
